Learn to Play will remain free for residents of Westford, Littleton and Tyngsboro and tuition will be prorated for residents of other towns.

Learn to Skate:
Nashoba Youth Hockey's Learn to Skate program is a 10-week course designed for boys and girls ages 3-14 who are looking to either learn to skate or to improve their skating skills. No previous skating experience is required. Participants will learn basic skating skills including stance, stopping and proper stride. As students progress, they will learn more advanced techniques including backwards skating, crossovers, edge work and acceleration. Skaters are initially evaluated and grouped according to their skill level. Skaters are continuously evaluated and reassigned when ready for the next group.
Learn to Skate
Dates: Begins January 6th 2019 and runs for 10 consecutive Sundays
Time: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Location: Nashoba Valley Olympia in Boxborough
Cost: $150

Equipment Needed for Learn to Skate:
- Hockey helmet with cage (mandatory)
- Skates
- Knee pads
- Elbow pads
- Strong waterproof protective gloves/mittens (hockey gloves recommended).
If your child is a first time skater, you may wish to bring a skating frame, two connected milk crates or a folding chair for balance.
Important: All skaters of every age must register with USA Hockey by clicking here before signing up for any programs offered through Nashoba Youth Hockey. There is a separate fee for USA Hockey membership for all skaters ages 6 and older.

Learn to Play Hockey:
Nashoba Youth Hockey's Learn to Play program is a 10-week course designed for boys and girls ages 3 to 14 who are looking to learn the game of hockey and develop their hockey skills. Based on the American Development Model (ADM) used by USA Hockey, participants will learn the basic skills of hockey including stick handling, passing, shooting, skating skills and team work. Prior skating skills are required. The program is designed for skaters who have not previously been and are not currently on a hockey team.
Learn to Play Hockey
Dates: Begins Saturday January 5th 2019 and runs for 10 consecutive Saturdays
Time: 7:40am to 8:40am
Location: Skate 3 Ice Arena in Tyngsboro.
Cost: FREE for residents of Westford, Littleton and Tyngsboro.* (Note: The payment system will ask for payment and residents of these 3 towns should opt to not pay. Please contact Coach Amy with any issues.)
Cost for residents of other towns is $200. All participants will receive a Nashoba Youth Hockey jersey.
Enrolmment will be capped at 60 students to ensure an optimal coach to player ratio.
