  NYHA in Apple Blossom Parade

by posted 05/06/2008

NYHA will again be a participant in the Apple Blossom parade. The date is Saturday, May 17th. The parade starts at 10:00am. Any players, siblings and parents that would like to march with the NYHA group can meet between 9:00am and 9:45am. Our meeting area number is 45F. It is on Main Street near the intersection of Main St, Flagg Road and Forge Village Road.

NYHA participants can wear their game shirts and walk or rollerblade. If rollerblading, helmets are strongly recommended. Part of the parade tradition is that parade participants toss candies to those watching along the parade route. If you would like to do this, you will need to bring your own candy supply. Please tell the players to gently toss the candy and not throw them.

Click here for a parade map and information sheet. Jude Higgins is the contact/point man the day of the parade.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

  USA Hockey Registration

by posted 05/04/2008

Last year, NYHA started the transition to online USA hockey registration. We will continue that transition this year and ask all NYHA families to USA Hockey register online.

If your child is playing for a youth hockey association, regardless of what association that is, he/she is required to be USA Hockey registered.  If your child plays for more than 1 association, they only need to register once. Their registration number is good for both associations. This number is also good if your child moves from one association to another. After registering, your player you will receive an email with a registarion number. Please forward that to Paul Biciunas at .

Below is the information from USA Hockey that Nashoba Youth Hockey's Registrar, Paul Biciunas, would like to pass onto all NYHA families.
